Skip Bins Online has made our waste type identification process easy and simple to follow, we hope it helps you make an informed choice of what is acceptable rubbish/waste to be placed inside each of our 8 waste type skip bins. It is important you know, that the skip bin suppliers and the waste facilities are strict for the correct rubbish/waste type to be placed in the bins and that you will incur additional charges for any incorrect or prohibited materials.

What CAN be placed in this bin

Weight limits Apply 150kg per cubic

  • Household waste e.g. Cloths, toys, paper, cardboard, kitchen ware etc..
  • Light commercial waste e.g. office furniture, stationary etc...
  • Light building construction waste.
  • Furniture & appliances e.g. Cupboards, lounges, fridges, washing machines etc...
  • Light Green waste e.g. Shrubs, grass clippings, twigs etc...
What CANNOT be placed in this bin
  1. Hard Heavy materials e.g. Brick, sand, clay, concrete, tiles, fibro etc...
  2. Soil or soil with Turf attached.
  3. Palm tree trunks, tree trunks, roots or turf.
  4. No synthetic grass,
  5. In NSW NO Carpet, Underlay or Vinyl contact us 1300 895 246 to arrange carpet removal
  6. In SA NO Computer Monitors OR TV's
  7. Hazardous materials. e.g. Asbestos, insulation, liquids, empty chemical containers, food, wet paint, putrescibles

Green Waste

What CAN be placed in this bin

Weight limits Apply 150kg per cubic

  • Light green waste e.g. Shrubs, grass clippings, twigs etc...
  • Small branches, leaves & palm fronds etc...
  • Woodchip & bark with NO soil attached.
  • Tree trunks smaller than 150mm in diameter and under 500mm long.
  • Untreated timber.
What CANNOT be placed in this bin
  1. Brick, soil, concrete, tiles, dirt, sand/stone, rocks, pebbles etc...
  2. Palm tree trunks & large tree roots etc...
  3. Tree trunks larger than 150mm in diameter or over 500mm long.
  4. Hazardous materials e.g. Asbestos, insulation, liquids, empty chemical containers, food, wet paint tins etc...

Mixed Heavy Waste

What CAN be placed in this bin
  • Waste from domestic or commercial demolition, construction, renovation etc...
  • Treated timber like retaining walls, decking and floorboards etc...
  • Hardfill Waste e.g. Bricks, tiles concrete (pieces no larger than 600 x 600)
  • Household waste e.g. clothes, toys, paper, kitchen ware etc...
  • Furniture and Appliances e.g. cupboards, lounges, whitegoods, etc...
  • Green waste e.g. Shrubs, grass clippings, twigs, palm trees etc...
  • Tree trunks smaller than 300mm in diameter and under 300mm long.
  • Metal/Steel
What CANNOT be placed in this bin
    1. Tree trunks larger than 300mm in diameter and over 300mm long.
    2. No Sand, Soil, Clay or Dirt (NSW & VIC ONLY)contact us to arrange 1300 895 246

Clean Waste

What CAN be placed in this bin

ONLY one of the waste types below

  • Bricks and/or Bricks and mortar or
  • Concrete (no bigger than 600x600) or
  • Pebbles and rocks or
  • Roof tiles or
  • Floor tiles.
What CANNOT be placed in this bin
  1. General, Green or Excavation waste 
  2. Palm trees and fronds
  3. Soil or turf
  4. Hazardous materials e.g. asbestos, insulation, liquids, empty chemical containers, food, wet paint tins etc...
  5. No Sand, Soil or Dirt - No mixed materials of any sort except what is specified  in the CAN's above

Mixed Rubble

What CAN be placed in this bin
  •  Bricks, mortar and sandstone
  •  Pebbles and rocks
  •  Roofs and floor tiles
  •  Concrete rubble (no bigger than 600x600)
  •  N.B. No mixed materials of any sort except what is specified above.
What CANNOT be placed in this bin
  1.  General, Green or Excavation Waste
  2.  Palm trees and fronds
  3.  Excessive Sand, Soil and Dirt
  4.  Hazardous materials. e.g. Asbestos,   Insulation, liquids, empty chemical containers, food, wet paint tins, putrescibles etc...
  5.  No other materials of any sort except what is specified in the ticks above.

Household

FLAT RATE NO EXTRA TIP FEES

Asbestos

What CAN be placed in this bin

Weight Limit Apply If your bin exceeds 150kg per cubic meter suppliers will charge you addition tipping fee per kilo.

  • Asbestos materials i.e. fibro sheeting
  • Asbestos contaminated waste
  • All skip bins hired for asbestos removal must be lined withdouble PVC orange or black builder’s plastic that can be purchased from any hardware store (200 micron or greater). The bin is to be lined with enough over hang to completely enclose the asbestos within the confines of the plastic & then sealed with industry tape for safe transport to an asbestos approved waste facility. The skip bin suppliers will always check to see if this has been done correctly before transport.

  • Naturally occurring Soil/Dirt Rock, Sandstone and Clay
  • Less than 10% Turf and Vegetation
What CANNOT be placed in this bin
  1. Greater than 10% Turf or Vegetation
  2. General Waste
  3. Contaminates (Contaminated Soil)
  4. No Man made materials
  5. Hazardous materials e.g. Asbestos, insulation, liquids, empty chemical containers, food, wet paint tins.
  6. Strictly NO OTHER WASTE
