Burnside Skip Bins
If you are placing your skip bin on private property, you do not need a permit. However, if you need to place the skip on council land i.e. the footpath you will need to contact the Burnside Council for a permit. Permits are issued for 14 day periods and different fees apply depending on when you make your application. Some restrictions do apply on the placement of the skip. You must ensure the skip does not: Obstruct pedestrian or vehicle traffic, be placed within 10 metres of an intersection, placed in restricted parking areas, placed across a crossover. Contact the Burnside Council for more detailed information on permits and how to apply.
